2-Door or 4-Door
A quick mention before we start running through trim offerings: The Jeep Wrangler comes in both 2-door and 4-door arrangements. So, that’s the first decision you’ll want to make when crafting your ideal Wrangler!
Engine Offerings
- 2.0L turbo: 270 horsepower, 295 lb-ft of torque, and 3,500 pounds of maximum towing
- 3.0L EcoDiesel: 260 horsepower, 442 lb-ft of torque, and 3,500 pounds of maximum towing
- 3.6L V6: 285 horsepower, 260 lb-ft of torque, and 3,500 pounds of maximum towing
Jeep Wrangler Sport
The story of the 2022 Wrangler begins with the standard trim, the Jeep Wrangler Sport. A host of worthwhile features debut with this standard trim, such as the ParkView® Rear Back Up Camera and a zipperless premium Sunrider® soft top roof.
Willys Sport
The Willys Sport trim is next and further preps you for adventure. The trim touts 32-inch mud-terrain tires plus Rubicon shocks and roof rails.
Sport S
The cabin of the Sport S comes with some highly advanced features. The available touchscreen is an 8.4-inch unit and features Uconnect® technology, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration systems, and has an available 9-speaker Alpine® sound system.
Willys
The Willys trim overlaps the Willys Sport trim somewhat, exuding the same go-anywhere capability. Enhancements include a Sport LED lighting package that includes headlamps and fog lamps.
Sport Altitude
The Sport Altitude is an immediately recognizable trim thanks to exterior flourishes, such as 18-inch Gloss-Black wheels, Gloss-Black fender badges, and Gloss-Black grille throats and headlamp inserts.
Sahara
The Sahara has some truly nifty available features, such as the Sky One-Touch® Power-Top and the highly acclaimed Selec-Trac® Full-Time 4WD system.
Rubicon
There are three engine offerings for the 2022 Wrangler not counting the 4XE option, which we’ll discuss separately. These engines are:
Forged on the Rubicon trail, the Rubicon trim is for the heartiest of adventurers. The long list of off-roading technologies includes a 4:1 Rock-Trac® low transfer case, 33-inch all-terrain tires with high clearance fender flares, and Tru-Lok® electronic locking differentials and an electronic sway bar disconnect arrangement.
Sahara Altitude
The black, leather-trimmed seats with black accent stitching paired with the body-colored Freedom Top® hardtop roof really give the Sahara Altitude an air of elegance.
High Altitude
The premium feel of the High Altitude trim level is made most apparent in the cabin, where you can expect Nappa leather-trimmed seats and a leather-trimmed interior outlay.
Rubicon 392
The Rubicon 392 gets its own engine, a 6.4L HEMI® V8 producing 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. A range of other features such as a dual mode exhaust system and 17-inch bronze beadlock-capable wheels makes this the most imposing and capable trim for the Wrangler.
4XE
If you want efficiency, the Jeep Wrangler 4XE is the way to go. It offers 49 miles of all-electric range according to EPA estimates and has a total driving range of 370 miles.
