2021 Dodge Charger Review
If you’re getting a Dodge Charger, you’re getting speed—there’s no way around it. Each engine option in the 2021 Charger is going to fill your sedan with raucous horsepower and torque.
The sheer performance is why so many drivers around Auburn, Worcester, and Shrewsbury, MA, are attracted to this car. Yet, in addition to performance, you can also look forward to a roomy interior and an entirely personalized exterior style.
At Harr Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, we have a lot of folks asking about the many Charger variations in our online inventory. So, we decided to create this 2021 Dodge Charger review as a helpful resource!
Dodge Charger: It All Starts With the Engine
The fabled Dodge Charger is a muscle car that first debuted as a 1966 model. The car has seen a lot of variations since then, with 2021 giving you a selection of motors to choose from. You can’t go wrong with any of these engines; however, it’s helpful to know the difference between them.
The lineup includes a V6 and a trio of V8s. Here’s how they stack up against each other:
- 3.6L Pentastar® V6 generates between 292-300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque
- 5.7L HEMI® V8 generates 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque
- 392 HEMI® V8 generates 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque
- Supercharged 6.2L HEMI® generates 717 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque
If you move all the way up to the top of the trim list, you can enjoy the high-output version of the supercharged 6.2L. This version boasts 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque.
Plenty More Performance Options
Performance in the 2021 Dodge Charger extends well beyond the engine. To put all this power to the ground cleanly and to help you stop at high speeds, Dodge has created a range of other performance boosters.
6-piston Brembo® brakes and an adaptive damping suspension come standard with the SRT® trim and can be had in the Scat Pack models too. A 4-piston Brembo® brake system is also available. The Brembo® brakes can be enjoyed in red, black, gunmetal, or orange.
Helping you get off the line quickly is a Launch Control system with Launch Assist. Depending on the trim you select for your Charger, you can enjoy Track, Sport, Auto, Custom, Valet, and Eco drive modes.
Customize the Dodge Charger However You Like
The list of available options for the Dodge Charger—especially the exterior—is seemingly endless. You can easily create a Charger like no one else’s on the road.
You can go with or without racing stripes, for example. If you want them, the stripes come in blue, red, silver, carbon, and gunmetal. The color of the car itself can range from Indigo Blue or Go Mango to Frostbite or Hellraisin.
There are also styling packages determined by the trim you select, such as:
- Redeye styling
- Hellcat styling
- Scat Pack styling
- R/T styling
