Trims and Powertrains

The 2021 Jeep Renegade is offered in four primary trim levels: Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk. The base Sport is well equipped, with 16-inch steel wheels, power-adjustable heated mirrors, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, a 5-inch touchscreen multimedia, Bluetooth audio streaming, a USB port, and a six-speaker audio system. The Latitude gets 17-inch alloy wheels, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, automatic wipers, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 7-inch multimedia touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The Limited trim upgrades to 18-inch wheels, push-button ignition, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather seating, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a 115-volt power outlet. The Trailhawk is the best choice for off-roading enthusiasts. It gets trail-ready features like all-terrain tires, tow hooks, underbody skid plates, a raised suspension, and exclusive exterior and interior styling. There is also an LED lighting package, which is available on all trims except the Sport, as well as the Uconnect 8.4 Nav package, highlighted by an 8.4-inch multimedia touchscreen and a navigation system.

The Sport and Latitude trims come standard with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 180 horsepower and 175 lb.-ft. of torque. The Limited and Trailhawk trims have a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 177 horsepower and 210 lb.-ft. of torque. All models come standard with a nine-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is also available. The 2021 Jeep Renegade has respectable fuel economy: the Sport model with FWD gets an EPA-estimated 22 mpg city and 30 mpg highway, while the all-wheel drive models trail just slightly with an EPA-rated 21 mpg city and 29 mpg highway.

Safety and Convenience

The 2021 Jeep Renegade has an above-average safety factor; it received a 2019 Top Safety Pick designation from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) for its outstanding crashworthiness and overall safety. The Limited and Trailhawk come with a Safety and Security Package consisting of a blind-spot monitor and vehicle alarm, while the Safety and Security Group II ads automatic windshield wipers. There is also an Advanced Technology Package that includes automatic high beams, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and an automated parking system.
