Ram 2500 Trim Levels
The Ram 2500 arrives in seven trim levels, beginning with the work-focused Tradesman model and ending with the luxurious Limited. The base model offers stripped-down and practical features like vinyl upholstery, a Class V trailer hitch, and a 5-inch touchscreen, which is perfect for a work truck or fleet model.
From there, you can move through the mid-range trims and their safety and technology features like an 8.4-inch touchscreen for infotainment, dual-zone climate control, and advanced safety features like forward-collision warning, a feature that alerts you to a possible frontal crash. Ram 2500 Performance and Towing
The Ram 2500 comes with a 6.4-liter V8 engine that produces 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Power Wagon, the off-road model, gets this engine and four-wheel drive exclusively. The optional engine is a 6.7-liter Cummins® diesel inline-six that generates 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque. This engine pairs to either rear- or four-wheel drive. Both engines use a six-speed automatic transmission.
When suitably equipped, the Ram 2500 can tow a maximum of 19,680 pounds. The payload capacity reaches up to 4,010 pounds. With the adjustable air suspension, you can level the load in the back for easier hauling. Several towing features are present, such as a trailer brake controller and trailer sway control, which provides corrections to keep control if the trailer begins to sway.
Ram 2500 Interior
The Ram 2500 comes in regular cab, Crew Cab, and Mega Cab models. The regular cab pairs with an 8-foot bed, while the Mega Cab pairs with a 6-foot-4 bed.
