 What’s New for the 2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude Plus?

For 2019, the Jeep Cherokee Latitude Plus has been significantly updated. To continue to be one of the best crossover SUVs in its class, the new Jeep Cherokee Latitude Plus features a sophisticated new design. The rugged and sporty Jeep Cherokee Latitude Plus comes with a fresh new grille, updated taillights, a relocated license plate mount and new wheels and tires that give the Cherokee a modern and refreshed look. Inside, the new Jeep Cherokee Latitude Plus features an 8.4 inch touchscreen, replacing the old seven inch version. This new infotainment system also features the latest version of Chrysler UConnect and comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making it easier than ever to connect your smartphone to the infotainment system. The center console sees minor revisions, with added storage space around the shifter.

Under the hood, the Jeep Cherokee Latitude Plus offers two new engine options. The standard engine grows to a 2.4 liter four-cylinder with 180 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque. A new 2.0 liter turbocharged direct injection four-cylinder engine is also available for 2019 with 270 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque. The previous 3.2 liter V6 engine with variable valve timing is also available as an option. That engine makes 271 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The standard nine-speed automatic transmission has also been updated, providing much smoother and quicker shifts, making for a more comfortable and steady ride.
